Five modules — the mindset, methods and moves
A hands-on experience that builds foundational skills in trust-building, leadership and worker-led problem solving. Each module blends pre-reading, interactive sessions, video content and practice — roughly 3–4 hours per module, of which 90–120 minutes is live virtual delivery.

A deep dive into defining challenges using the Problem and Opportunity Framing Canvases — uncovering root causes, aligning on what matters, and identifying what's at risk if nothing changes.
- Clarify real versus perceived challenges, and myth-bust using data insight.
- Use stakeholder mapping and empathy tools to understand who drives change.
- Reframe problems as opportunities and define why the status quo is no longer the best choice.
- Apply early measurement thinking and a theory of change to define success.
Imagine the Future and Shape Opportunities
Guides participants through the Imagine the Future Canvas and future-state thinking — defining design principles, surfacing opportunities and aligning with strategic intent.
- Create a compelling, shared vision of the future and the shifts required to get there.
- Articulate the outcomes and benefits and build a data-grounded case for change.
- Learn the fundamentals of storytelling and how to structure a narrative.
Generate, Test and Refine Solutions
The engine room of design thinking. Participants use tools like the Now-Wow-How Matrix, Idea Filters and Reverse Brainstorming to land viable ideas, then prototype and test them in the real world.
- Apply divergent and convergent thinking to find every option for impact.
- Evaluate ideas through desirability, viability and feasibility.
- Prototype and test quickly with safe-fail change experiments.
- Collate feedback and measure impact to inform iteration.
Embedding & Sustaining Worker-Led Problem Solving
How to implement ideas sustainably — building implementation plans and stakeholder strategies, embedding trust, and defining detailed measures of success.
- Understand the dynamics of scaling change and how to monitor, measure and adapt.
- Recognise trust signals and the leadership moves that give change longevity.
- Create implementation plans with clear ownership, outcomes and metrics.
