Celebrating Martin Pow's Retirement — A Remarkable Career and Lasting Legacy
A colleague, leader, mentor and friend whose career has spanned continents, cultures and decades of professional achievement.

Today, we celebrate the retirement of a colleague, leader, mentor, and friend whose career has spanned continents, cultures, and decades of professional achievement.
From leaving Scotland as a determined 17-year-old and building a career that took him to more than 80 countries, to leadership roles in global banking, the Big Four, international consulting, and ultimately Agilitas, his journey has been anything but ordinary. Along the way, he helped organizations strengthen their risk, governance, audit, and compliance capabilities while earning the respect of clients and colleagues around the world.
Yet, when we reflect on his impact, what stands out most is not simply what he achieved, but how he achieved it.
Throughout his career, he brought energy, humility, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. Whether facilitating complex discussions, teaching challenging concepts in practical ways, mentoring future leaders, or encouraging individuals to recognize their own potential, he made a lasting difference in the lives of countless people.
At Agilitas, he became known not only for his depth of experience and wisdom, but also for his passion for sharing knowledge, challenging thinking, and helping people grow. His willingness to invest in others reflects a belief that the greatest success is measured not by personal accomplishments, but by the opportunities we create for those around us.
One of the themes Martin often speaks about is the distinction between success and joy. His career has been filled with extraordinary successes, but his legacy reminds us that lasting joy comes from relationships, service, learning, mentorship, and family. Those values have enriched our firm and strengthened our culture.
As he closes this chapter of his professional journey, we are grateful for the expertise, leadership, humour, and generosity he has brought to Agilitas. While retirement marks the end of his formal career, we are delighted that he intends to remain connected to the Agilitas community and continue supporting our people and purpose.
On behalf of all the partners and team members of Agilitas, we thank him for his contributions, celebrate an exceptional career, and wish him every success and happiness in the adventures that lie ahead.
Martin, your résumé tells the story of an extraordinary career. The impact you have had on people tells the story of an extraordinary man.
Congratulations on your retirement. We will keep an eye out for board roles and look to you for guidance in the future — and thank you for everything.
